When adding memory to a computer
all of the memory needs to be the same speed (i.e. PC133, PC3200, etc...), have
the same CL number (Column Access Strobe Latency i.e. CL2, CL3, etc...), and
be either ECC or NON-ECC or the computer will be unstable. Please note that
some motherboards DO NOT support ECC memory. A good source for information about
the various types of memory and what memory your computer will support can be

website.
